2009 Work Camp

Building Homes for Orphans and the Needy

Spend time building homes for orphans and Needy Children whiles you experience the real culture of Ghanaians.

Most volunteers see this as an adventure or a Work Camp. There is lots of fun working together with local people working on building projects such as schools, clinics, health centres, homes, market centres etc...Volunteering in construction projects is challenging,Can you pound a nail, swing a paint brush, or plant a flower?

The program starts from March to August and October to February.

WorkCamp Volunteers are expected to raise funds from friends and organization to support the purchase of project materials.A little as $100 can be raised to support constructional projects.

We have no requirement but the ability to do hardwork is needed or must have a skill in building or construction.

Men and women who enjoy working outdoors or with their hands can assist with building, repairing and painting facilities such as community centers, classrooms, librairies, medical clinics, and houses. You can also help clear park land, plant community gardens, dig wells, construct clean water systems, install playground equipment and more. No specific construction skills are needed.Anyone who is in good physical condition can assist with these projects, as there usually are both light and heavy labor options.
